The Archbishop Shaw Eagles continued their preseason journey Friday night at the Ed Daniels Classic, taking on Brother Martin at Joe Zimmerman Stadium. It was another great opportunity for the Eagles to compete against strong competition, get valuable experience, and continue building toward the start of the regular season. LHSAA Presentation

The night was especially meaningful for Coach Hank Tierney, who was surprised before the game with the news that he will be inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2027. What a special honor for a coach who has dedicated so many years to Louisiana high school football and to the young athletes he has coached along the way.

Jamboree

Shaw battled throughout the night, and while the Eagles came up just short, there were plenty of encouraging moments to build on. The team continues to put in the work, learn from each game, and grow together as they prepare for the season ahead. It’s always exciting to watch these young men come together and see that hard work begin to show on the field.

I’m excited to continue photographing the Shaw Eagles this season and capturing these moments for their players and families. There is a lot of football still ahead, and I can’t wait to see what this team does next!
