Benjamin’s Audubon Park Senior Session | New Orleans Senior Photographer
What could be better for a New Orleans senior capturing their session than playing jazz beneath the moss-covered oak trees in Audubon Park? Benjamin is graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School for Advanced Studies and heading to Louisiana State University this fall. His future is just as exciting as his senior session, and it was such a joy to celebrate this season with him. As a New Orleans Senior Photographer, these are the sessions I love most! They are personal, meaningful, and full of the things that make each senior unique.
From Accidental Elective to Future Career
Benjamin discovered his love for music through an accidental elective, and I absolutely love that part of his story. Sometimes the things that shape our future show up in unexpected ways. Now, he’ll be majoring in Music with a concentration in brass at LSU. There was something so special about documenting a senior who already knows what lights him up.
A Performance and Photos
Benjamin brought both his trombone and euphonium to the session, and we did much more than take pictures. We got a full performance! Anyone walking through the park that day (whether exercising, relaxing, or having a picnic) definitely got an unexpected treat. Adding instruments into the session made the gallery feel personal, creative, and completely true to who he is right now.
Why an Audubon Park Senior Session Was the Perfect Setting
We used two different areas in Audubon Park to create as much variety as possible. The historic rows of oak trees, the bandstand, and the pond gave us everything we needed. Each location added a different feel while still keeping the session timeless and full of New Orleans charm. Sessions in meaningful locations always tell a stronger story.
Celebrating What’s Next
I also loved that we were able to include LSU gear in the session to announce his college decision. Those little details matter so much because senior photos are not only about celebrating where you’ve been… they’re also about honoring what comes next!
