Chyler’s newborn session was one of those sessions that flowed so easily from beginning to end. He was wonderfully sleepy, which allowed us to move from pose to pose without disturbing him too much. Sessions like that always feel extra peaceful, and they give us the chance to capture so much variety while baby stays comfortable and settled. Rich Colors and Jewel Tones
Chyler’s mom requested rich colors for the session, and I was so excited. I tend to naturally reach for neutrals and lighter tones, so it is always fun when a family wants something a little different. In this case, we used darker jewel tones that added so much warmth and depth to his gallery. Those richer colors also created some of the most beautiful black and white images.
Black and White Images That Say So Much
There is something timeless about newborn photos in black and white. Chyler’s black and white images truly speak to my soul. Without the distraction of color, the focus becomes the connection, the softness, and the emotion in each image. Sometimes the simplest photos end up meaning the most.
Tiny Details You Never Want to Forget
His detailed macro photos were another favorite part of the session. It is hard to decide what I loved more… those sweet little lips or the image of him holding his mom’s hand. These are the details that change so quickly in the newborn stage, which is why I always make space to capture them.
A Personal Touch for Dad
Chyler’s dad is an amazing high school football coach, so we had to include a little football setup just for him. I always love adding personal touches that help tell your family’s story. Those small details make your gallery feel even more meaningful and unique to this season of life.
