It’s another week of Archbishop Shaw Eagles football, and this week brought action across multiple levels of the program! From the 8th-grade matchup against Jesuit to the JV battle with Rummel and a big varsity district win over The Willow School, there were plenty of moments worth remembering.
One of my favorite parts of photographing high school football is capturing more than just the final score. Our fans are the absolute best. The stands were full for the 8th grade and JV wins at home in Joe Zimmerman Stadium. For our away varsity game that was moved up in time to 4PM, the fans packed the visitor side and cheered with their whole hearts.

The 8th grade team worked hard with a victory over the Jesuit Blue Jays 19-13. JV Eagles had an outstanding victory over Archbishop Rummel with both Ted Reine, III and Isiah Jeffers scoring touch downs with a final score of Shaw 13 and Runmel 6.

The varsity Eagles had a dominant night on Friday, October 9, earning a 65–0 shutout victory over The Willow School. Shaw came out strong, putting 37 points on the board in the first quarter and continuing to build on that lead throughout the game.
The win moved the Eagles to 5–1 overall and gave them a strong start to district play. It was an impressive team performance, with the offense finding the end zone and the defense keeping Willow off the scoreboard.
Final Score: Archbishop Shaw 65 – The Willow School 0
