Noah’s 2nd Birthday | Family Milestone Photos New Orleans
Noah is 2, and this session was full of everything I love most about photographing this age! His mom shared that the only professional photos they had taken before this were when Noah was 9 months old on a beach vacation. Like so many moms, she came in worried about all the normal things like whether he would cooperate, whether he’d smile, and whether we’d get at least a few good images. But there was no reason to worry… Noah showed up ready for fun! I can tell you this is often how it goes for family milestone photos I have in New Orleans. Parents come in nervous, and kids come in ready to surprise us.
A Petite Session with the Best of Both Worlds
This petite session gave us the perfect mix of outdoor and indoor images. We started outside at the greenhouse behind the studio in the soft morning light. Then, after we captured those outdoor moments, we finished inside in the air conditioning, which is always a win. That combination gave us variety while still keeping the session easy and comfortable for everyone.
Peek-a-Boo and Big Giggles
Noah loved playing peek-a-boo with me, and his giggle was the sweetest sound. Honestly, I feel like I can still hear it every time I look through his gallery. Those playful little moments are often the ones families treasure most because they truly capture who their child is right now.
Why Turning Two Is Worth Celebrating
Turning two is such a fun milestone. It usually comes with lots of movement, curiosity, and personality. Toddlers are not meant to sit perfectly still and smile on command. They are meant to explore, laugh, run, and be themselves. That’s why my goal with family milestone photos I shoot in New Orleans is never just to get a posed photo.
