Rex’s Mardi Gras Birthday Session | New Orleans Photographer

Rex came back for his 1-year photos, and with a Mardi Gras birthday and a Mardi Gras parade name…we knew this session had to be as fun as Fat Tuesday! The greenhouse at the KVR Photography studio made the perfect backdrop for a late winter morning. It had that soft light and fresh feel that worked so well with the playful Mardi Gras-inspired theme. The Sweetest Surprise

One of my favorite surprises during a 1-year session is when parents share there’s another baby on the way, and this time was no exception. Rex is officially getting promoted to big brother! We snuck in a few maternity photos during the session to celebrate baby number two, and those moments made the session feel even more special.

After finishing up family photos, we headed inside the studio for a few more portraits…and of course, a celebratory cupcake. Rex’s sweet little smirk completely melted my heart. He had the best personality, and you could just tell he was soaking it all in.
